KBasic
KBasic - an open source modern Basic IDE and compiler. It supports Qt4 and aims VB and VB.NET compatibility.

Bernd Noetscher, the creator of KBasic has recently requested KBasic to be included in Ubuntu.

HBasic2
HBasic2 is an object-oriented Basic compiler and RAD IDE which aims on full compatibility with VB.NET.

Eiffel Studio
Eiffel Studio is a complete integrated development environment for Eiffel language. It is multiplatform and licensed under GPL.

Wide Studio
WideStudio is an open source, Integrated Development Environment for desktop applications purely made in Japan. This enables you to develop GUI applications that can run on Windows95/98/Me/NT/2000/Xp/Vista, WindowsCE, Linux, FreeBSD, SOLARIS, MacOSX(w/X11), BTRON, T-Engine, mu-CLinux(wo/X11) in various programming languages such as C/C++, Java, Perl, Ruby, Python,Objective Caml Since an application is build on MWT(Multi-Platform Widget Toolkit) which runs on multiple platforms, WideStudio applications are all source compatible between these platforms. If you developped an application in C/C++ language, you only need to re-compile the source code to run on a different platform in as native code.
It is released under MIT license.

OpenReduce
OpenReduce is a professional Computer Algebra System.
It is capable of advanced matrix and vector operations as well as integration, solving differential and algebraic equations as well as 3D plotting. It is a perfect GUI application and has extensive documentation.
It has been recently included in Scientific Linux and Alt Linux repositories. The packages taken from Scientific Linux work well under OpenSUSE.

Emso
EMSO is the acronym for Environment for Modeling Simuation and Optimization. EMSO is the simulation software of the ALSOC project. Its development was started at 2001 by Rafael de Pelegrini Soares, today the EMSO process simulator is developed and maintained by ALSOC.

Gmsh
Gmsh is a 3D finite element grid generator with a build-in CAD engine and post-processor. Its design goal is to provide a fast, light and user-friendly meshing tool with parametric input and advanced visualization capabilities.
Gmsh is built around four modules: geometry, mesh, solver and post-processing. The specification of any input to these modules is done either interactively using the graphical user interface or in ASCII text files using Gmsh's own scripting language.
It is currently accepted in Debian.

EMC2 is a software system for computer control of machine tools such as milling machines, cutting machines, robots, hexapods, etc. EMC2 is Free software released under the terms of the GNU GPL (General Public License). The developer's site only has Debian packages. It also compiles well under Ubuntu Karmic.

Hyperpool
Hyperpool is a network services management tool, written in java. It allows to setup web and proxy servers, redirect ports, set up automatic dialup as well as other features:

Leonid Brukhis BK-0011M emulator
This is an emulator of the early 90s home computer BK-0011M made by Leonid Brukhis based on original PDP-11 emulator by Eric A. Edwards.
